Having a good cover design attracts the reader to want to open the book, and gives a digital product a ‘physical' appearance. A professional looking ebook looks like a real open book with a "Table of Contents" and "Foreword" set up with graphic navigational arrows.
An interface is what you see when you look at your monitor: the collection of words, pictures, buttons, menus, and other stuff that lets you do things. The interface is also sometimes referred to as the graphic user interface, which is shortened to GUI and pronounced "gooey".
Add Security Features
If you choose executable (.exe) file format for your ebook, you can use Digital Rights Management software (DRM) to protect ebooks, enabling security features to prevent to prevent theft and disable ebooks.
Features such as requiring registration by user ID and password, and ‘permissions' such as no printing, no changing the documents, no content copying or extraction, etc, can be activated.
One of the biggest issues with ebook publishing is the fact that people can ask for a refund but they can't send the book back. All you can hope for is that they delete your ebook - chances are most don't. If you have asked people to register the book when they first open it, you can de-activate their username and password if they ask for a refund - or if you discover that they never paid for it in the first place.
Tracking
With the right software you can also track what is happening with your ebook. You can see how often it is being opened on a daily or monthly basis. It will also log the IP address of the person viewing the ebook.
Preparing the ebook for download
You should offer both a compressed and an uncompressed version of your ebook on the download page. This will enable a quicker download for those customers who have WinZip and are familiar with it, whilst others have the option of downloading the larger file.
NOTE: If you're selling an ebook with resale rights that includes a sales page, images, and so on, then you'll need to package the whole lot into one downloadable ZIP file.

Scan for a virus
Don't risk spreading a virus to your customers through your ebook. Before you send it online for others to download, it's imperative that you run a virus-scan on it. Make sure that you use up-to-date virus scanning software.
Transfer the files to your website
Now that your download files are ready, you need to send them online to your web host's server by sending the ebook's EXE and/or Zip files (2 files if you're offering a zipped and unzipped version) up to your website where they can be accessed by your customers.

Payment Systems and Automatic Download Facilities
You will need to setup your transaction system for automated customer follow up. You will need to accept credit-card payment for your ebook and then automatically deliver it once payment is complete.
If you already have an online merchant account, you can set up payment for your ebook using this method. However, you can sell ebooks from various Third Party Processors, such as Clickbank or Paypal.

Automatically delivering your ebook
Once your customers have paid for your ebook, they'll be directed to a page on your website where you thank them for their order and give them the book they've just ordered. This is the 'delivery' side of the ecommerce setup.
